ELLAND ROAD is set for a £1m transformation.
Ken Bates is planning a summer renovation programme at Leeds' 100-year-old home.
Most of the money will be spent on redeveloping the John Charles Stand area.
The directors box is to move nearer the halfway line and corporate seating will be improved to attract new, lucrative business for the club.
A new facility for supporters, the Lucas Radebe Suite, will also be created in honour of the club's long-serving former skipper.
The East Stand will also benefit from a cash injection and a summer face-lift.
Aside from the corporate areas and the new lounge, facilities will also be improved on the concourse areas of the ground.

having been to many stadiums, you've got to admit that elland road is a dump compared to the likes of,
stadium of light, jjb stadium, reebok stadium, not to mention scums, n'castles, and chelskis stadiums.
its been a long time coming, and its about time someone incharge put his foot down and took control, instead of splashing out on fish tanks!!!

how about the south stand with its 1960's signs. the stadium does need a spruce up though, too many new signs and advertising boards covering up ageing brickwork etc
