having a few friend in the footballing world certainly does pay off, and today has been no exception.
my friend at work has recently been suspended, and during his 3 days off he has met up with some old friends that he grew up with in brixton, bermensey, and peckham, including marlon king, quashie and that turkish bloke from football factory.
anyway, he rang me tonight and had me guessing which premiership player has already agreed terms with us, but is having problems with his current club in leting him leave... until they know what league they'll be in next season.
he would be allowed to leave on a free if they are relegated, but if they survive, they'll want a fee, or he will be offered a new contract to stay.
he has actually said he wants to stay if they stay up, but believes, if they go down , that going leeds will give him better options of playing in the premiership!
i was rather shocked, but it is obviously speculation from very reliable contacts.
but then again, the player himself could be bulls***ing!
Guess who (i've narrowed it down to 4 clubs and given you a big clue to which one)

i think that if we can get him at a reasonable price or even on a free, depending on what happens after saturday, then he'll become a complete signing.
i love what butler has done for us this season, but even he will admit that his time is approaching to hang up the boots, but i want to thank him for a solid season.
hall and killa would form a formidable partnership in comparison to the woodgate/ferdinand partnership that never was.
i think KB should monitor his situation with him saying comments like that... supposedly!!!

not a bad signing for us but its not a position i worry about to much, need a play making midfielder and a left winger first

did palace only offer fitz hall a one year deal when they signed him last year, seems like bad business.
if he is available then i think we should only get him if we still have some wages available after covering the more pressing positions as like darren says the midfields more of a priority

speaking of midfielers, what a buy this would be!
West Brom put Koumas up for sale Jason Koumas is on his way out of the Hawthorns West Brom have put midfielder Jason Koumas on the transfer list. Manager Bryan Robson said: "I've been disappointed with his attitude at a time when other midfield players have moved above him in the pecking order.
"The defensive side of his game isn't good enough as far as the type of midfield players I want at this club are concerned."
Koumas, 25, who cost £2.5m from Tranmere in August 2002, has made 94 Baggies appearances, scoring 14 times.
some people just dont get on, and here seems a prime example of that, and we seem to get all west broms rejects anyway so why should he be any different
