highest paid players will all be going to be replaced wit cheap players and after a few years of buildin up slowly and saving money then maybe make a go for the prem

naysmith is the worst consideration for wearing the leeds badge iv'e ever heard, he hasn't achieved anything in his career, he is a complete reject... and where would he play?

he would play left back and to say hes done nothing is an insult
however you continue to suggest players to play for leeds, some of whom havent made a first team appearance and therefore are being very disrespectful to an excellent pair of professionals in weir and naysmith who would be a credit to any leeds side.

im sorry, and maybe i'll be proven wrong, but i'm gonna have to disagree with you.
naysmith is a squad player, nothing else, and the quote only backed up his playing career, not his 'achievements' (or lack of)!
if we keep lennon, the we have options for the left wing, killa can go left back if need be, but i prefer him centre-left defense. naysmith wouldnt provide anything we dont already have.
ok, maybe i dont ive him enough credit and i'm probably about to upset many leeds fans here, but...
whoever walks through the gates at elland road and wears the badge always, ALWAYS receives an amazing welcome from us, regardless of his reputation. naysmith wouldnt be an exception. but we have to start looking to the future!
answer me this...
why is a player, who plays for a team aiming to compete in europes biggest competition, not being monitored or linked with any other 'average' (sorry if i offend) premiership team, the likes of portsmouth, fulham, blackburn, or any of the relegation candidates?
i would prefer to be linked with players who are attracting attention from all over the county, snap them up, and be proud to say we can still compete with the best. ok, i know wages are a problem, and transfer, signing on fees as well, but the only reason the like of weir and naysmith want to come to leeds is to 'up' their reputations and receive a final cheque!
i will hold my hands up and apologise sincerely if they boh end up becoming the saviours of elland road, and if we do sign them, and they turn out to be a disgrace i will get it over with now
'I TOLD YOU SO!!!'

i think the major reason why nobody in the prem wants these players is becasue they dont want to take a risk on them. In the prem if you are lacking a bit of pace or getting on you will be eaten alive, in the champ you get more time so the slower and older prem players do so much better.

but the pace of the championship is changing, with more teams struggling to compete with the pacier and stronger teams.
wigan have probably the most powerful, quickest and strongest frontmen in the country at the moment (i'm not saying their the best, just before anyone rushes in), and they managed to destroy this league this season.
sunderland have bought many young premiership signings and had an amazing season.
ipswich on the other hand, had a very good season, but their old tired legs couldny quite manage till the end and i believe they'll fail in the play-offs.
if we get weir, then achieve promotion, will he still be around in the season 06/07, i doubt it, o why bother attempting to build for the future by recruiting players who are only gonna be there for the short term???
