Leeds look certain to go into action against Ipswich on Saturday still without skipper Paul Butler.
Butler has missed the last two games after suffering from concussion in an collision with Neil Sullivan against Sheffield United, a game in which the 32-year-old also nearly swallowed his tongue.
United are also unlikely have on-loan striker Marlon King available for the visit of promotion chasing Ipswich after he picked up a viral infection.
Blackwell will take a closer look at Butler in training tomorrow but as things stand, he doesn't feature in the team.
"Paul has only just started heading the ball today so he's not ready yet," said Blackwell.
"He's very doubtful for the game, but if I lose anybody else he might have to play some role but he won't be starting the game.
"He's been a stalwart of the season and we have three games left where we can't go up or down so I think it would be stupid to risk a player."
The Whites will also be without Sean Derry for the game after the midfielder was sent off against QPR last week, whilst David Healy is still out with ankle ligament damage.
