Leeds United were handed a £3,000 fine at an FA disciplinary hearing in Manchester on Thursday.
The club were hit with a breach of FA Rule E22a - failing to ensure that its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion - following the draw with Gillingham at Elland Road earlier this month.
The match was disrupted after United's on-loan full-back Michael Gray and Gill's forward Darius Henderson clashed in the second half and a large number of players from both sides quickly became involved before order was restored.
Gray was sent off and subsequently served a three match suspension for his part in the incident, whilst the Gillingham player had his red card overturned on appeal.
A club spokesman said of today's ruling:"We attended the disciplinary commission in conjunction with Mick McGuire of the PFA and we put the Club's case for mitigation.
"The panel listened to all the points and took the decision to fine the club £3,000."
