In an unexpectedly busy transfer deadline day for Leeds, two players have left the club so far with two more set to come in.
The players to have left the club are Brian Deane and Kevin Pressman and there could yet be further departures as clubs look to strengthen ahead of the 5pm deadline.
Deane has joined Sunderland on a free transfer until the end of the season, whilst Pressman has joined Coventry City on a non-contract basis until the end of the season.
'Deano' as he was affectionately known, made 24 starts for the Whites this season and nine more appearances as a substitute, a record that was above anything both the player and manager Kevin Blackwell had expected at the start of the season.
The striker was out of contract at the end of the season anyway, and has now linked up with the Black Cats to provide cover for their forwards.
Blackwell was forced to rely on the 37-year-old more often due to injury to other strikers and the partnership of Michael Ricketts and Julian Joachim failing to work out as had been hoped.
Kevin Blackwell has recently brought two strikers into the club with Marlon King on loan and Ian Moore expected to complete his transfer from Burnley when he completes his medical later on Thursday afternoon.
Another player coming in is the former Serbian international goalkeeper Sasa Ilic.
Ilic is a direct replacement for Pressman, also arriving on a non-contract basis, and will provide cover for current Leeds No.1 Neil Sullivan.
Ilic, who made his mark in English football with Charlton, spent a fortnight on trial with the Whites last month and was at Aberdeen until recently.
